Tip on a Great Playground Workout in the Outdoors

Kids get very excited whenever they see a playground. They can spend hours playing without getting tired. It is important that kids are active rather than just sitting around doing nothing or playing video games. Also, the outdoors is a great place to get Vitamin D from the sun and fresh air in and out of your body. There are tremendous benefits in working out in the great outdoors. Adults should also get excited about playgrounds. There are many devices such as the monkey bars where you could do exercises that will have tremendous benefit to you. Here is a great outdoor workout that you can do in playgrounds.

Probably the best time to workout in the playground is earlier in the morning where you are not competing with other kids and the weather is mild. The morning sun is the best time to get quality Vitamin D into your system. The air is still crisp and fresh. Also, there should not be much disturbances or distractions. You can workout for about 15-20 minutes with very little rest in between. This will make it an excellent workout to even boost your metabolism.

You can do some pull-ups and chin-ups (with varying grip). The monkey bars are much more sturdy than most home gym contraption. Then, do some body weight squats (about 15-20 repetitions) to get the legs warmed up and strengthened. Try some mountain climbers (which is one of my favorite exercises). Normally, I would do about 30 seconds of mountain climbers. Then, you can do some walking lunges and backward lunges (15-20 lunges each directions). Also, try some push-ups (30-50 repetitions). Then, do some sprints (one of my favorite fat burning exercise) for about 20-30 seconds. Do about 6-8 sets of these sprints. Try some different variations at the playground. There is no real structure but it still will be an effective and efficient workout if you go do it for 20-30 minutes with very little rest periods (10-30 seconds). There are a multiple of exercises that you can do at the local playground.

The local playground is a great place to do an informal workout that will benefit your physical fitness and exercise program. Kids and adults alike could benefit from playing and exercising at the local playground. Why should kids have all the fun and the benefit of using the playground? You should be able to get excited about another place to do some workouts especially pull-ups and chin-ups for free.
